ELIZABETH WOLPERN, PSYD, DipACLM

ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM
Dr. Caitlin Moore is a board-certified licensed clinical neuropsychologist who started the California Brain Health Center in Marin County in 2017. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), and is one of a small group of specialists in Northern California to have earned this credential. Dr. Moore completed her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Boston University and her clinical training throughout the Harvard Medical hospital system in Boston, before training at the Palo Alto VA / Stanford Healthcare System. She pursued a two-year postdoctoral specialty training in neurodegenerative disease through California Pacific Medical Center. Dr. Moore places high value on the patient-provider connection and has thoroughly enjoyed forming long-lasting relationships with many of her patients and their families in Marin. In addition to her clinical work, she assists with policy development in Marin County, consults for other healthcare and technology companies, and is a regular speaker in the Bay Area. Her work has been featured in Men’s Health Magazine and she has been interviewed by The Today Show on NBC about brain health.
Dr. Katie Beckwith is a board certified licensed clinical neuropsychologist who earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. She is board certified in clinical neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), and is one of a small group of specialists in Northern California to have earned this credential. Dr. Beckwith specializes in neuropsychological assessment, intervention, and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with a wide variety of neurological, medical, and mental health concerns. She also has expertise in utilizing her clinical assessment background to create and implement individual and group-based cognitive rehabilitation programs focused on enhancing cognitive functioning and everyday life through the development of effective compensatory and coping strategies.
Dr. Jessica Groberio is a clinical neuropsychologist with expertise in assessing an individual's cognition across the lifespan. She earned her doctoral degree from Texas A&M University, and completed a neuropsychology-focused internship at the VA Medical Center in Houston, TX and her post-doctoral residency in neuropsychology at the San Francisco VA Medical Center/UCSF Healthcare System. She specializes in neuropsychological assessment of adults with a variety of neurologic disorders and diseases, with a particular interest in assessing older adults with neurocognitive disorders (i.e., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, FTD). Her research interests include healthy aging, maintaining brain health, caregiver support, and PTSD.
Dr. Diane Hoang is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her internship at the Southern Oregon VA and postdoctoral fellowship at UC Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Hoang specializes in adult and older adult neuropsychological evaluation. Further, she offers individual cognitive rehabilitation and sleep therapy (CBT-I) to holistically address cognitive concerns that testing may reveal. Outside of clinical work, Dr. Hoang is enthusiastic about community outreach and has presented at various educational events to promote the value of neuropsychological services.
Dr. Paul Mangal is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Florida. He has specialty training in neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, and health-focused behavioral interventions. Dr. Mangal collaborates with patients to identify neurological, medical, and mental health factors that impact their day-to-day functioning.
Dr. Mangal has co-authored publications and presented his research at numerous conferences in the areas of Parkinson’s disease, emotion regulation, computerized cognitive training, and innovative neurotechnologies such as non-invasive brain stimulation. Dr. Mangal brings his extensive knowledge of the scientific literature to his clinical care, and he makes evidenced-based recommendations for managing brain diseases and disorders.
Dr. Jillian Tessier is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus in neuropsychology from Drexel University. She completed specialty training in clinical neuropsychology, including a neuropsychology-focused internship at University of Florida and a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the San Francisco VA Medical Center/UCSF Healthcare System. Dr. Tessier has expertise in the assessment of cognition in adults and older adults with a variety of medical and neurological conditions. She recognizes that the cognitive changes experienced by her patients not only impact them, but also their loved ones, and is passionate about collaborating with family units and support systems. In addition to cognitive assessment, she provides behavioral treatment of sleep disorders. Her research interests and publications center around improving long-term functioning in Veterans and individuals with traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Anh Ha is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist who earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Her research focus lay at the intersection of developmental psychopathology and cultural adaptations of psychological instruments. With a lifespan perspective in mind, she broadened her training with a geropsychology internship at the West Los Angeles VA and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Northern California VA - Martinez campus. Currently, Dr. Ha specializes in neuropsychological evaluations for a wide variety of clinical presentations across the adult lifespan. She also offers patient-focused psychotherapy services for individuals interested in addressing mood-related concerns, relational challenges, and social skills building from several evidence-based modalities of treatment, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies.
Dr. Sarah Clark is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus in neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience from Georgia State University. She has also completed specialized training in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation through her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Dr. Clark has expertise in neuropsychological assessment and intervention for a variety of medical and neurological conditions across the adult lifespan, including neurodegenerative disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. She is passionate about using cognitive assessment to tailor interventions optimizing quality of life in those with neurological conditions and their families. Dr. Clark provides neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and family support/training services. Recent research interests include developing caregiver education materials for family members of Veterans with brain injuries.
Dr. Elizabeth Wolpern is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology, lifestyle medicine, and integrated behavioral health. After more than a decade in corporate management roles in the South Bay Area, Dr. Wolpern returned to the field of psychology to embark on a second career. She attended Loma Linda University, earning a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology. Dr. Wolpern completed an APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. With a passion for whole-person care, wellness, and lifelong learning, she became certified in lifestyle medicine through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Before joining CBHC, Dr. Wolpern served as core teaching faculty and assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Loma Linda University Health. She developed and facilitated the behavioral medicine curriculum, trained Family Medicine residents in behavioral health, and provided clinical supervision of doctoral psychology students. She also maintained a clinical practice in integrated behavioral health, seeing patients referred by their primary and specialty care providers.
Dr. Wolpern’s interests include examining the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence health and illness. She works with patients holistically to address the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) and promote wellness. Dr. Wolpern provides evidence-based treatments to address various concerns, including insomnia, stress, chronic pain, life transitions, health conditions, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, burnout, and health behavior and lifestyle change (e.g., weight loss, smoking cessation, exercise, substance use, medication and treatment adherence, etc.).
Chelsea Marshello is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience serving vulnerable adults and older adults in the community. In her previous role, she worked in an independent senior living community providing in-home assessments, care coordination, crisis intervention, and short-term counseling to residents. She is passionate about working with older adults and their loved ones, building on strengths and collaborating on goals to address needs. Chelsea is excited to join the CBHC team and continue supporting families in the community.
Michael is our lead back office medical assistant. Prior to joining CBHC he worked in the health insurance industry for more than five years, serving as a patient benefits advocate. He has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of patient care. He now brings his expertise of insurance and billing to help patients of CBHC maximize their insurance offerings.
Paul is our lead front office medical assistant. Prior to joining CBHC, he worked in the health insurance industry and customer support. He brings his positive attitude and generous spirit to CBHC where he is in charge of scheduling new patients, advocating for patient needs, and coordinating care with other medical clinics
Wellord is our jack of all trades. He is a team player, who assists with patient scheduling and care, coordinating care with other medical clinics, and billing. Prior to joining CBHC, he worked in the health insurance and customer support industry. He brings kindness, a gentle spirit, and a love of animals (ask him about his dogs!).
Louie specializes in customer service with our patients, and connects the front and back of the office. He schedules and coordinates care with patients directly, and specializes in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and checking patient eligibility. Prior to joining CBHC, he worked in the health insurance and customer support industry for the past five years where he was a subject matter expert. He enjoys free diving in his spare time and provides daily care to his grandparents.
